The Idyll House

The idyll phylosophy was born in the Idyll House. The Idyll House is in the heart of Baja, just beside the market and very close to all those places which the local people and the visitors love, like water, the cobbled main square and the market, of course. We wellcome everyone who likes plants, ornamental pieces made of natural materials, compositions of real and dried flowers.

The idyll intelectuality becomes coplete by the inward feeling of the cultural programs. The room-sized “concert hall” and the palmful garden-stage of the House proves that the charmed spirit of the live concerts are not substituted.

The roots of jazz life at Baja go back to the end of the fifties, when the Community Centre ensured a place for the club life, based on first performances of records and discourses. At the end of the sixties the club life ran up by the possibility of organizing a few concerts a year.

In 2001 the Idyll House generated a favorable change in the life of this small town and at the same time the House brought a new colour of the jazz programs.

The thougt of the First Idyll Jazz Festival in Baja was brought up during the regular friendly meetings at the Idyll House.

The fulfilment of musical life is the merit of a few soulful and helpful people. The fillings caused by the jazz and blues stepped out from obscurity for the joy of more people.
